Multilevel Current Source Inverter for Balanced Unbalanced PV sources

by Engineer's Planet

This study presents a novel 1-layer power source inverter (MCSI) for balanced and unbalanced PV systems. The proposed MCSI topology has fewer power devices than the standard MCSI topology. When both PV sources are operated at their highest power point, the proposed control method can be used to deliver a quality current to the utility. The proposed MCSI topology is evaluated with two PV sources operating under partially shaded conditions. Here are the simulation results for the proposed 500W system.
