What is eYRC?
The e-Yantra Robotics Competition (eYRC) is an inclusive, international competition designed to cater to teams of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced participants. Hosted by IIT Bombay, eYRC provides a unique opportunity for participants to engage with a variety of cutting-edge technologies. Whether you are interested in Robot Operating System (ROS), Drone Control, Image Processing, 3D Designing, Embedded Systems, Control Systems Design, or Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) programming, eYRC’s gamified problem statements, known as “Themes,” offer a challenging yet rewarding experience. eYRC 2024
This competition stands out due to its completely online format, spanning 5-6 months. Participants learn and compete simultaneously, making eYRC an exceptional hands-on learning experience that complements traditional engineering curriculums. Moreover, eYRC allows participants to compete internationally, broadening their horizons and exposing them to global standards in robotics and technology.
Who Can Apply?
eYRC 2024 is open to undergraduate students across the globe. The competition encourages participation from teams with diverse backgrounds in engineering, computer science, and related fields. Whether you are just starting out or have advanced skills in robotics and related technologies, eYRC is designed to challenge and inspire you. Teams can be formed by students from the same institution or across different institutions, making it a truly collaborative experience.
How to Apply?
To apply for eYRC 2024, follow these simple steps:
1. Form a Team: Gather your team members, ideally 2-4 students, who share a passion for robotics and technology.
2. Visit the e-Yantra Website: Head to the official e-Yantra website to begin the registration process.
3. Complete the Registration Form: Fill out the required details, including team information, contact details, and academic background.
4. Submit Before the Deadline: Ensure your team’s registration is completed before the deadline on Sunday, August 25, 2024, at 11:59 PM IST.
5. Await Confirmation: Once registered, your team will receive a confirmation email with further instructions on how to prepare for the competition.
eYRC Timeline
The eYRC competition extends over 7-8 months and is divided into two stages: Stage 1 and Stage 2. Throughout the competition, e-Yantra provides participants with necessary resources, including boilerplate codes, examples, and expert technical guidance through a dedicated discussion forum. This support system ensures that participants not only compete but also gain invaluable knowledge and experience in robotics and related fields.
