Suction-Based Low-Cost Flush for Rural Areas

Abstract: The objective of this project is to design an affordable, easy to install suction based flush system which requires lesser water for flushing the toilet. This will be useful especially in rural areas where there is problem of water scarcity and where conventional plumbing systems are not available.

Key Components:

  • Suction Mechanism: Design a low cost suction mechanism which can flush the waste using very minimal water.
  • Ease of Installation: It should be designed in such a way that it can be easily installed and does not require a lot of plumbing work.
  • Sustainability: The system should be sustainable and should be appropriate for rural areas.

Result expected: The system will be affordable and will use small amounts of water, thus making it suitable for rural areas where both water and money are scarce resources.
