A vehicle tracking system could be utilized reduce costs, improve vehicle storage security, and cut the amount of employees. Open source code programs were used in development of the architecture and algorithm. Evaluated and quantified were several elements comprising software, affordability, personal security, effective fleet management, along with time optimization. The study aims to enhance the current systems by taking into account the advantages and disadvantages of vehicle tracking systems. The system’s ease of application and low cost were highlighted, and comparisons were drawn between the system’s advantages and disadvantages. Vehicle tracking systems are the most crucial element in fleet management. Our study employed a mechatronic system approach, which was open to development and utilized an analytical approach to investigate the problem. The system has been designed with a modular structure, allowing for effortless incorporation into pre-existing infrastructures. The system was designed with the objective of enhancing the operational efficiency of the company’s vehicles, optimizing vehicle maintenance procedures, and reducing fuel consumption and time spent, while maintaining driver safety.
