Organization: Ministry of Jal Shakti

Abstract

This project proposes the development of Low-Cost Nutrient Measurement Kits for fermented/liquid organic manure (F/L OM). These kits will enable small farmers to accurately measure the nutrient content of bio-slurry, optimizing its use in agriculture.

Key Components

  • Affordable Sensors: Design and integrate low-cost sensors for measuring key nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium.
  • User-Friendly Interface: Ensure that the kits are easy to use, with clear instructions and simple displays for reading nutrient levels.
  • Field Validation: Test the kits in real-world agricultural settings to validate their accuracy and reliability.

Expected Outcome:

The kits will empower farmers to make informed decisions about the application of F/L OM, leading to better crop yields and sustainable farming practices.
