Abstract: Description: Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) systems are incorporated in building structures for renewable energy generation. The project is to develop an interactive application for BIPV potential assessment with LOD-1 3D city model, simulate building shadow and estimate solar energy on vertical building surfaces.
Expected Outcome: The application will promote use of BIPV systems by providing the means for potential users to analyse solar potential and take decisions on usage of renewable energy.
