The state examination board of Bihar has canceled the Teacher Eligibility Test, claiming “unavoidable circumstances,” in the midst of the NEET debate and days after the UGC-NET examination was canceled.
The Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), which was supposed to take place on June 26 or June 28. Teachers in Bihar’s primary, secondary, and upper secondary schools are hired by the state government via an examination.
The Board stated that fresh dates would be announced shortly. The Bihar School Examination Board stated that the decision to postpone the TET was made since two exams were scheduled on the same date. The Bihar Public Service Commission has also set headmaster recruitment tests for June 28 and 29, respectively. The new dates are expected to be announced within two days, according to reports.
The Bihar Teacher Eligibility Test is administered to elementary, secondary, and higher school teaching candidates, since engaged teachers are only granted state government employee status after passing the TET.
