The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is a national-level exam that assesses a candidate's understanding of undergraduate engineering, science, technology, architecture, and humanities subjects.
Candidates from India and foreign countries (including Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Singapore, and UAE) are eligible to apply.
Candidates must hold or be in their final year of a recognized Bachelor’s or higher degree in Engineering, Technology, Science, Architecture, or Humanities. Accepted degrees include B.E., B.Tech., M.Sc., MCA, Integrated programs, and equivalent professional qualifications.
Candidates who have completed their qualifying degree or are in their final year (2025 or later) are eligible to apply. There is no age limit for GATE.
