Research and development are currently being done on linear induction motors for use in high-speed ground transportation and some industrial applications. To meet their performance requirements, they need machinery with enormous forces, rapid speeds, and precise control. For the design and implementation of these systems, quick and accurate methods for system simulation and control system design are required. MATLAB/SIMULINK simulations are used to study the dynamic performance of this one-side short stator linear induction motor, and in this work, results from experiments and simulations are compared.
