Current Source Inverter with Multiple Levels

Voltage-source inverters (VSIs) and current-source inverters (CSIs) are the two traditional categories for DC/AC converters (CSIs). Although their precise application is dependent on the application, some of these features are shared by both types of converters. The VSI is the multilevel dc/ac conversion design that is most frequently studied. This study suggests a paralleled setup for multi-level CSI. A separate sinusoidal pulse with modulation is used to drive the converter rather than a number of carriers. Additionally, a technique for balancing inductor currents is offered. The process and analysis behind simulations and experiments are also displayed, along with the outcomes.
