Development of a Wireless Weather Forecasting System using ESP8266

This paper integrates two study domains, control systems and data acquisition methodology, to develop a database system that generates data based on selected attributes. The weather station utilized sensors to measure and record data pertaining to temperature, humidity, and wind speed. The data collected can be categorized into two forms: direct and indirect. This categorization is based on the regular reading and storage of the data, with direct data being stored in a specific database system. The advancement of new technologies in database development is regarded as the primary focus of this research. The entire system centrally and remotely monitors and regulates positions based on regular climate fluctuations to maintain optimal environmental conditions. The device utilizes an ESP8266 node MCU microcontroller to remotely manage and monitor the condition of a location when a NET PI network system is being controlled. The ESP8266 functions as an access point (AP), which is connected to the network via a Wi-Fi station (router). In addition, the webserver has the capability to toggle the devices ON/OFF both automatically and manually using the NETPI platform. Ultimately, the weather data can be obtained and saved in an excel sheet at the same time, allowing for visualization using the programming language R.
