Abstract: Description: In this project, we will build a system that identifies and extracts road information from satellite imagery and also generates alerts for new and altered roads. The input and output from the proposed system will be Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) Boonidhi images and geographically referenced shapefiles respectively.
Expected Outcome: The system that will be developed as a result of this project will assist in the effective monitoring and planning of infrastructure, especially in the developing world, through the timely notification of new road construction activities.
